This roadside view grabbed my eye as I drove around the island dirt roads during my residency at
Sapelo Island, GA.   I loved the view looking through the trees into the distant marsh and treeline, and the reflections in the pond of the surounding vegetation.  The deadwood in the foreground points into the composition like the bow of a ship ready to set sail.  You can't see it in this digital, but there is a white heron perched in the branches of the dead tree standing as a sentinel over the scene.   You can see the white salt deposits on the base of the marsh grass that borders the pond.
