Poinsett State Park even has a waterfall!  Just a small one that is part of the remains of the Old Levy Mill. The painting shows some of the coquina stone walls.   I don't get much of a chance to paint waterfalls here in the flat state of Florida, so I jump at the chance when I get it.  It was quite a precarious journey to get all my gear down to this location and the skeeters found me quite interesting!  The coolness of the falls and the comforting sound of falling water made up for any discomfort! I loved the contrast of the red clay dirt and the cool greens of the trees towering over the scene.
