I created this painting on location at Spruce Creek near New Smyrna Beach, FL. There is a wonderful fishing pier that goes out over the salt marsh and I painted this from the pier. It is one of the larger plein air works I have been working on and the second of the tidal marsh series. I love this area! It's tidal marsh shows all kinds of colors that change from season to season and almost hour by hour. It made creating such a large painting a challenge! You can see forever here and only the old fence posts along the edge of the creek show signs of human activity.
