I created this painting on location at Orlando Wetlands Park near Fort Christmas, FL. It is the second in a series of larger works I have been creating. This winding road caught my imagination and really reminded me of Old Florida. I can just see an old horse and buggy or Model T rumbling down the dusty road! Can't you? The morning fog has lifted to meet the clouds. It has left behind a blue haze in the distance and dew making the colors sparkle like jewels. The palms are wearing last season's fronds and they are being replaced by new growth in their upper fronds. The winter grasses are fading and making way for the new spring greens. Everything is bursting into flower!
