I created this painting on location at Turkey Lake Park in Orlando, Florida. It is hard to believe that this tranquil scene exists right here in the middle of busy Orlando. 

I chose to paint this view because I was inspired by the bright yellow flowers growing along the marshy shoreline.  I love palm trees, and this little grouping   seemed to lean  together as if for support, their shadows long on the ground in the morning sun.
