This painting was creating sitting on the porch of my cabin during my artist in residency Givhans Ferry
State Park.  The cabin was beautiful and the screened back porch overlooked the river.  I was captivated by the early morning fog on the river and couldn't think of a better place to paint while I drank my morning coffee!  Plein air painting should always be THIS comfortable!  If you get a chance, rent the cabins, they are comfortable and modern even though they were built by the CCC during the depression.
