"Mill House at Deleon Springs" by artist, Brenda Hofreiter

This painting was created "en plein air" at DeLeon Springs State Park, Florida. There is an Old Spanish Sugar Mill restaurant on the property shown here, where you can make your own pancakes. Yum!! The swimming area of the springs flows into nearby Lake Woodruff Wildlife Refuge. It isn't often that you get to paint waterfalls in Florida or mill houses for that matter. This was a great opportunity. Who knew painting rocks could be so much fun! I was being filmed for a documentary while I painted this. Not too much pressure!! I don't think anything ever came from the documentary, but I got my painting! I hope you enjoy it.
