This little study painting was created at the Matanzas Inlet along A1A. I was participating in a juried event called a Paint Out sponsored by Island Fine Art. You can see more of the paintings I created for this event here at www.islandfineart.com/2007_paintout/artists/hofreiter.htm.
It is mid morning and the tide is going out. I loved the shadows that the grasses made on the white dunes and the color of the wet sand in the shallow water. You can see for miles in the morning mist. The day was already warming up and I took a dip in the shallow water while I painted this.
