This painting was created at a neighborhood park on Lake Barry in Windsong, an upscale suburb here in Orlando.   It has a lovely landscaped winding path along the lake.  This gazebo is used by the neighbors to have a leisurely lunch and watch the water birds on the lake.

I was attracted to the gazebo because I liked the way the far edge of the lake was framed by it's columns.  The morning light made strong shadow patterns on the foreground grasses and wooden walkway and bounced up into the edges of the columns and the blooming banana.

I found out quite by accident that there is an automatic sprinkler system in this little park because they went off and I had to make a dash of it with the painting before we both got completely drenched!  I managed to save the painting, but it must have been comical to the neighbors to see me shrieking and running through the park my painting waving overhead!

I used this local scene to try out my new bike painting gear.  As you can see .... It worked great!!
