"Goin Home" by Brenda Hofreiter

This painting was created from a photo I took in Charleston, South Carolina during a recent trip there. I was headed back to my car after a day of gallery-hopping and sight seeing and saw this empty tour buggy heading back to the barn after a long day's work. The strong afternoon light on the white horse and buggy made a striking image and I snaped a quick digital photo, kicking myself for not having my painting equipment with me. I promised myself that I would try my hand at painting a studio painting of the horse and figure when I got back home. This is the result. I love challenging myself with new painting challenges.
