This painting was created right in my neighborhood on Lake Wilbur in Winter Park, FL.  I was out looking for something interesting to paint in afternoon light and spotted these yellow flowers blooming on the edge of the little lake.  They were so jaunty and bright that they just begged to be painted.   I loved the reflections of the flowers and the white house in the smooth water and the fall colors of the cypress.  Winter Park is such a lovely town to live in, there is always something beautiful to see and paint!
