I created this painting during my residency sitting on the banks of the Edisto River on the sandy shore of the canoe launch area at Givhans Ferry State Park.   The gently curved beach is presided over on one side by this beautiful Cypress tree and it's graceful hanging moss.   I loved the reflections in the water and the new greens of the cypress.   Can you tell I liked painting the river??
