This painting came about because one of the park rangers invited me to paint along the shores of Little
Lake Johnson near his cabin.  I spent a couple of wonderful mornings exploring and painting at this great site.  I chose to paint this particular view because I liked the beautiful clear reflections in the lake the early morning mist,  and the riot of blooms in the meandering lakeside plants.  I bet you are asking yourself..... Where's the canoe?  Well.....it's that silver thing in the foreground right.  I bet you thought it was a rock...right? See it now?
