This painting was created "en plein air" at Cypress Grove Park in Orlando, Florida. It is a neighborhood park with a dock and a nice old home to rent to get married in. It was springtime and the aquatic plants were all blooming along the lake. To me, this view is reminiscent of the many lakes in Central Florida with blooming plants along it's edge, tall grasses, and boathouses dotted along the shoreline. I loved capturing the reflections in the still waters and the many colors and textures of the foliage and flowers.
