This was one of 6 little paintings I created during a paintout, competition and sale sponsored by Island Fine Art in St. Augustine.   You can see the rest of them online at:

There is nothing I love painting more than a tidal marsh!  To be able to drive down any road and run into one is just amazing to me.  This was at the end of a deadend street along AIA.  That little structure you see extending into the marsh is a neighbor's dock leading down to Quarry Creek.
It was late afternoon and the colors were just amazing on the marsh.  This view is along the edge and I love the way you can see the trees leading off into the distance and the way the clumps of purple marsh grass snakes in and out of the yellow and lime green.   What more could you want?
