I created this little plein air painting during a recent trip to New Mexico.  This formation is called Kitchen Mesa Cliffs
and it is located near Ghost Ranch outside of Albiquiu, New Mexico.   It is late afternoon and the sun is hitting off the
golden cliffs.  I was astounded by the variety in these cliffs with colors ranging from blue/green/white to vivid yellow.
This area of New Mexico is a painter's dream.  Everywhere you look and everything you see is a study in contrasting beauty.  Quite a change from painting in Florida and I hope I get to go back there and paint some day.  I know why Georgia O'keefe made her home here.
